It would be hard to find a person who accomplishes love consuming a day at the beach! There are many fun activities on a beach, from swimming and building sand castles to sailing and exploring. One of the most fun activities you can participate in is surfing; if you’re planning to surf, you’ll need a surfboard! Sometimes going to the beach to surf isn’t always possible, so learning how to draw a surfboard might be the next best thing.
If you love surfing or just surfboard designs, this guide is for you! Our step-by-step guide on how to draw a surfboard in 6 steps will have you gliding effortlessly through the process! If you are looking for some cute drawings, drawing for kids, cartoons drawing, animals drawing and many more, then you are at the right place.
Drawing Surfboard
Step 1:
The surfboards have a sleek, slim design, which helps them glide through the water while maintaining speed and stability. Surfboards can come in different forms, each with advantages and disadvantages depending on what the surfer is looking for. The surfboard we will design in this guide on drawing a surfboard will be long and relatively thin, but later, you can also change the shape a bit if you want!
For now, we’ll start simple. We’ll draw a single thick line that curves very slightly to the far right, where it will bend a little more steeply. That’s all there is to this step! When you’re ready to continue, we’ll move on to step 2.
Step 2:
Now that you have the first line for your surfboard drawing, we can finish the outline in the next step. First, add a short diagonal line to the bottom of the line you just drew. You can then extend another long line from this one, which will curve like the first one until it meets the top of this line at a sharp point.
Step 3:
Surfboards often have fins at the bottom, sometimes called skegs. These fins are used to provide more precise steering control and stability. We will draw the fin for this board in this step of our guide on removing a surfboard. It should be relatively easy for you, as all you need to do is draw two curved lines at the base of the board that meets to form a sharp little point. You are then ready to move on to step 4!
Step 4:
You have completed the general outline of your surfboard design, and for this step, as well as the next, we will be working on some interior details. As for step 4, that should be a relatively easy step to do! All you have to do is draw a straight line from the tip of the surfboard to the base on the other side. Once you’ve drawn that, we’ll move on to step 5, where you can unleash your inner surfboard designer!
Step 5:
It should be a fun step in this guide to drawing a surfboard! The surfboard is entirely removed, so we’ll focus on decorating it for this part. In our reference image, we’re going for some hot flames to give it a cool look. To achieve this look, we used curved and rounded lines with sharp points for the fiery face of the design.
If you like this design, you can replicate it using the image as a guide, but this is a step where you can also create your great plan if you wish! Surfboards can come in different models and designs, so if you want to show off what your ideal surfboard would look like, this is your chance if you are creating a unique design for your surfboard drawing.
Step 6:
Now it’s time to move on to the final step of drawing your surfboard, and in it, you can have fun choosing colors for your image. In the last step, we chose a striking design for the pattern, so we decided on many warm colors to fit this theme.
It is just one of many ways to color your drawing; this step is your chance to show how creative you can be with your colors! If you’ve chosen a different decorating theme, you can use colors that reflect that well.
